Project Manager New-Build (f/m/d)
Alpha Trains has owned and leased locomotives and passenger trains for nearly 23 years. More than 130 employees of various nationalities are active across Europe. Our more than 1,000 locomotives and passenger trains are utilized in 22 European countries.
WHAT WOULD KEEP YOU BUSY
Project management of new-build electric multiple units (EMU) and trains with alternative traction systems, such as battery and hydrogen BEMU/HMU, includes the following tasks:
- Operational, contractual, timeline and budget responsibility for the projects such as:
- Procurement of new vehicles from the manufacturer
- Conversion projects on trains
- Implement a pro-active and goal-oriented management of the project withinterfaces to suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Internal support function:
- Provide support in strategic business development and assist in thepreparation and negotiation of purchase agreements
WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM
The best qualifications for this position are:
- Degree in Engineering or similar technical studies
- Professional experience in project management, preferably from industry-relatedfields as automotive, mechanical or plant engineering
- Understanding processes and contracts and their implementation
- Being assertive next to being able to work in a systemic and independent way
- Proficiency in German and excellent knowledge of English
- Willing to travel 1 to 2 days per week
- Enjoying work with a sound common sense and humour
